Jan Moran is an author, fragrance authority, and brand communication consultant specializing in technological solutions for retailers. She is a graduate of the University of Texas and the Harvard Business School, and attended M.I.T., the Institute of World Affairs, and the UCLA Writer's Program. As a management consulting executive for Deloitte & Touche, she advised corporate clients in the U.S., Canada, and Japan. After working as a programmer, she began her perfumery apprenticeship with Yves Saint Laurent and continued with a host of companies, including Giorgio and Cosmair.

Moran is the author of the books, Fabulous Fragrances I and II, which were on Rizzoli books best seller list.
